Pigeons

Clusters of pigeons,
Gray against gray,
Stand shoulder-to-shoulder
From night until day.

pigeons 3

Under the overpass,
Road upon road,
Pale filament streetlamps
Light their abode.

pigeons 4

Away from the bridge,
They line up on the wire,
To sway in the breeze
In their pigeon attire.

cars trucks and busses

Clumps of beaked feathers
On tightropes look down
On the cars, trucks, and busses,
That crawl through the town.
